Yesterday, President Trump signed H.R. 7148, the “Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026” into law. The legislation funds several of the government's largest departments – including the Departments of War, Health and Human Services, Education, Labor, Treasury, Transportation, and others – through the end of the fiscal year on September 30, 2026. Notably, the legislation only provides stopgap funding for the Department of Homeland Security through February 13, 2026.
